Recently, Harmonix announced the tracks
that will be available on the Rock Band Network for download on top of the
already 25 tracks available with the purchase of the game. Among them will be “So High” a currently
popular track by the young Polish alternative artist, Lee-Leet. You can view it here.
Harmonix is gearing up for its release
of “Rock Band Blitz” at the end of August 2012. The new addition to their catalogue is a new
spin on rhythm games by featuring controller-based gameplay with no instrument
peripherals required. Rather than being
required to select only one instrument, the game encourages players to switch
between tracks to build up their scoring multiplier cap for each
instrument. On top of the new game
design, many new and interesting powerups will become available throughout the
game to affect various aspects.
Lee-Leet is the first Polish artist on
Rock Band, whose beautiful love song “So High” has been licensed by the video
game giant. While many songs on the Rock Band network have prominent focus on
guitar or drums, Lee-Leet’s core strength lies in the vocals and keyboards. Her
sound has been related to artists such as Florence and the Machines, Bjork, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Evanescence,
Within Temptation, PJ Harvey, Bat for Lashes and Porcupine Tree.
Lee-Leet and
her band definitely deserve attention, especially among gamers looking for more
female-fronted songs. If you want to
purchase the song on the game, you can find her in the Rock Band Network under Lee-Leet,
“So High” or the Alternative genre. The track will become available for download on the new Rock
Band Blitz August 28, 2012 for Playstation.
