"Draggin' the Line"—released in 1970--is a hit song by American rock musician Tommy James that has made multiple appearances in media. Most notably, a cover by REM was featured in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me in 1999. Other featured artists on the Austin Powers soundtrack include Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, The Who, and Green Day.
More recently in, Tommy James dropped a stellar remake of his hit, “Draggin The Line (2020 Version)”, featuring Emmy Award-winning rapper T.O.N.E-z and celebrated guitarist Steven van Zandt. James says, “I'd been thinking about a remake of "Draggin' The Line" for a long time and felt that a street version might be perfect.” says Tommy. “I got ahold of T.O.N.E-z, who is a great friends…” and the rest is history.
