Sonoma County Non-Profit Organizations Come Together To Provide FREE Music Concert By Kitaro This Sunday

Grammy Award Winning Artist Kitaro and his long-term label, Domo Music Group, have teamed up with three Sonoma County non-profit organizations: Live Music Lantern (www.LiveMusicLantern.org), Everybody is a Star (www.everybodystar.org) and the Raven Performing Arts Theater) to put on a special FREE matinee show for Sonoma County residents impacted by the fires, fire relief workers, social workers and educators. This FREE show will be uniquely different from his Kojiki concert happening later that night (also at the Raven Performing Arts Theater) as its centered on community healing. 

The show also features a performance by Eki Shola, a Sonoma County singer-songwriter who lost her home in the fires. This FREE show will take place on Sunday, November 19th at the Raven Performing Arts Theater.  The Doors open at 2:30 pm and the music begins at 3:30 pm.

Sijay Releases Latest Album, Detroit Club, With Soul Music Tracks

  

Between 2000 and 2009, after fronting several different bands including Lobster Newberg, recording two Studio albums and a grueling National tour, Sijay couldn’t get in the studio fast enough to create his new Soul album “Detroit Club”. Within only a month, he wrote and recorded half a dozen songs that explored genres yet to be pioneered. With influences ranging from the funk and soul of Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder to the alternative rock styling of Donald Fagen, Phish and Joni Mitchell, Sijay’s album “Detroit Club’ combines these genres, and mixes some RandB and jazz.
